The MXR EVH117 Flanger is a signature guitar effects pedal developed in collaboration with Eddie Van Halen to replicate the iconic flanging sounds heard on Van Halen tracks like "Unchained" and "And The Cradle Will Rock."

The pedal utilizes an original bucket-brigade analog circuit to deliver the sweeping, "whooshing" magic of the vintage MXR flangers Eddie originally used. It features four standard control knobs: Manual, Speed, Width, and Regeneration, allowing for precise manual tone shaping.

Its defining feature is the dedicated EVH Switch. Engaging this switch instantly activates the exact Manual, Speed, Width, and Regeneration settings Eddie Van Halen used to record the song "Unchained," providing immediate access to his signature tone without manual dialing.

Visually, the pedal is distinct, housed in a sturdy die-cast casing adorned with Eddie’s famous red, black, and white "Frankenstein" guitar striped graphics.

Power Requirements: The unit operates on 18 volts. It can be powered by two 9-volt batteries (in series), a dedicated 18V AC adapter (such as the Dunlop ECB004), or compatible DC power supplies like the DC Brick, Iso-Brick, or Mini Iso-Brick.
Circuitry: Analog bucket-brigade design.
Bypass: Hardwire bypass.
Dimensions: Approximately 6" L x 4.5" W x 2.75" H.
