Weekend Warriors
Mom’s Weekend Warriors puts you in the band! For over 20 years, Mom’s Music has been creating rock stars and now we have taken our Rock School concept to a different level for adults. The new Weekend Warriors classes meet weekly for 60 minutes and places anyone from 18 to infinity in bands based on instrument played, and skill level. These bands prepare for concerts every 10 to 12 weeks.
Led by Chuck Marcum, Mom’s Weekend Warriors is a fun experience for musicians of all abilities. Chuck teaches Blues, Rock Blues, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and Music Theory, along with Minor & Major Pentatonic Modes. Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Black Sabbath are a few of Chuck’s favorites to teach. Part of Chuck’s main focus is getting the student playing right away and making sure they are having fun! He has been a regional guitarist since 1986, and he has played with the Rock Bottom Band since 1998. Chuck has opened for Molly Hatchett, Junior Brown, Leon Russell, David Allen Coe, Duke Robillard, and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith. He plays at least 2 to 3 times weekly, and also hosts a local open jam night at KingPin Lanes every Monday Night from 7p-11p.
