The TC Electronic PolyTune 3 Mini is a compact polyphonic tuner pedal designed to save space on crowded pedalboards without sacrificing functionality. It allows guitarists and bassists to tune all strings simultaneously or individually with high precision, while also serving as a high-quality signal buffer. 

The pedal’s standout feature is its polyphonic tuning mode, which detects the pitch of all six strings at once when strummed, highlighting exactly which strings are out of tune.  It automatically switches between polyphonic and monophonic modes depending on whether you strum multiple strings or pick individual ones. For studio-grade precision, the strobe mode offers accuracy within ±0.02 cents, while the standard chromatic mode provides fast tuning within ±0.5 cents. 

A critical component for many users is the built-in Bonafide Buffer.  This circuit preserves signal integrity and high-end clarity over long cable runs, combating the tone loss often caused by true bypass pedals. Users can switch between buffered bypass and true bypass via a DIP switch to suit their specific rig requirements. The unit also features an "Always On" mode, allowing players to monitor their tuning continuously without muting the signal. 

Despite its tiny footprint, the PolyTune 3 Mini houses a 109-LED display that is exceptionally bright and visible even in direct sunlight.  An ambient light sensor automatically dims the LEDs in dark environments to prevent glare on stage. The pedal is constructed with a rugged metal housing and includes anti-slip rubber pads on the bottom to prevent movement during performance.
