The Yamaha Revstar Standard RSS02T in Fired Red is a high-performance electric guitar that blends vintage café racer aesthetics with modern playability and versatile P-90 tone.  Designed for players seeking dynamic single-coil sounds without the weight of traditional instruments, it features a lightweight chambered body and innovative electronics.

The RSS02T is built around a chambered mahogany body topped with maple, a construction method that significantly reduces weight (approx.  7.9 lbs) while enhancing natural resonance and sustain. The striking Fired Red gloss finish, paired with a 3-ply cream pickguard and racing stripe detailing, pays homage to 1960s British café racer motorcycles. 

The neck is crafted from 3-piece carbon-reinforced mahogany with a set-in construction, offering exceptional stability against humidity and temperature changes.  It features a comfortable medium profile, a satin polyurethane finish, and a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius and 22 jumbo stainless steel frets for effortless bending and precise intonation.

At the heart of the RSS02T are two custom Yamaha VP5 Alnico 5 P-90 pickups.  These single-coils deliver the classic "growl" and mid-forward character associated with P-90s but with enhanced output and reduced noise thanks to the Alnico 5 magnets. 

The guitar offers extensive tonal versatility through:

• 5-Way Pickup Selector: Provides standard neck and bridge sounds, plus unique "in-between" phase-shifted tones in positions 2 and 4. 

• Focus Switch: A push-pull control on the master tone knob that acts as a passive boost. Engaging it shifts the resonant frequency, tightening lows and mids for a thicker, more aggressive sound similar to overwound pickups.
