1988 Peavey Falcon Custom USA - Turquoise w/ Case (SEE DESCRIPTION)

We are selling this super cool 1988 Peavey Falcon USA Custom AS IS. This piece would be an exceptional project guitar for someone looking for a real USA strat-style axe for just a fraction of the price. Please read the description carefully. 

The Bad: 

1) This guitar is missing the original Kahler Spyder Trem-Bar.

2) The locking nut screw tops (female hex-key adjustments) are all stripped to varying degrees, which prevents the strings from locking down fully and properly. The treble side is especially stripped, but all three screws should be replaced.

3) The fine-tuner adjustment screw on the high E on the Kahler Spyder bridge has been replaced and is not original. The replacement does thread, but we recommend that too be replaced with a fine-tuner adjustment screw that is original to a 1980's Kahler Spyder Tremolo system.

4) The Bridge Locking Screws on strings A, D, G, and B are stripped and do not tighten properly (see pics). All 4 need to be replaced. 

5) The guitar has numerous dings, dents, and blemishes throughout body front back and sides, neck front and back, headstock and pickguard (see pics). The fretboard has some wear and tear on the 2nd and 4th frets (see pics). 

6) The guitar is missing D, B, and high E strings and is in dire need of a professional set-up and intonation. The remaining strings have been left on to ensure neck tension. 

The Good:

There are no additional major issues with this axe than the ones listed above. It needs a good home, and a willing guitarist to bring it back to life! The figuring in the maple neck is absolutely gorgeous, the frets are in really decent shape for a late 80's axe, the truss rod adjusts properly, and the electronics are working. The most economical fix would be to replace the entire Kahler Spyder Tremolo System with a working late-80's Kahler Spyder Tremolo System or another floating tremolo system that fits the specs. This is a rare opportunity to own a really cool USA-Made guitar and bring it back to its original glory!
