The Hughes & Kettner TubeMeister 36 is a 36-watt tube amplifier head featuring a three-channel design (Clean, Crunch, and Lead) with independent gain and master controls for each channel. It utilizes three 12AX7 preamp tubes and four EL84 power tubes, driven by oversized transformers to provide significant headroom and dynamic range.

Key professional features include a 5-stage MIDI programmable power soak allowing output reduction from 36 watts down to 1 watt or silent recording (Speaker Off), and a Tube Safety Control (TSC) system that auto-biases power tubes for reliable operation and easy swapping. It also includes a switchable serial FX loop, digital spring reverb, and a balanced RED BOX OUT XLR DI with authentic speaker emulation for direct recording or PA injection.
