The Gibson Custom Shop 1959 Les Paul Standard in Green Lemon Fade finish with Willcutt Cloudbucker pickups is a premium reissue model designed to replicate the legendary 1959 Les Pauls with exceptional accuracy and vintage tone. This version features special Cloudbucker pickups—custom-wound humbuckers known for their clarity, dynamic response, and balanced output, offering a modern twist on the classic PAF sound.

1. Finish & Aging

   • Green Lemon Fade nitrocellulose lacquer finish with Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged treatment, giving it a naturally worn, vintage appearance without excessive wear.

   • The aging process includes light checking, subtle gloss reduction, and soft wear on edges and binding for authentic feel. 

2. Body & Neck

   • 2-Piece Figured Maple top with hide glue fit over a 1-Piece Lightweight Mahogany back.

   • Solid Mahogany Neck with an Authentic ’59 Medium C-Shape profile. Long tenon neck joint. 

   • Indian Rosewood Fingerboard with 12" radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays. 

3. Electronics

   • Willcutt Cloudbucker Pickups (Neck and Bridge): Unpotted low-turn Alnico III humbuckers designed for articulate highs, warm mids, and tight bass—ideal for blues, rock, and jazz.

   • Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone with CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers and paper-in-oil capacitors.

   • 3-Way Switchcraft pickup selector.
