The BOSS ME-90 is the most advanced all-in-one guitar multi-effects processor in BOSS's ME series, designed for performing guitarists who need premium tones with intuitive, stompbox-style control. It combines flagship-grade audio quality with a knob-driven interface, eliminating the need for deep menu diving.

Key Features and Sound Engine
The ME-90 is built around BOSS's AIRD (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics) technology, offering 11 onboard amplifier models derived from the flagship GT-1000. These models provide authentic tube tone and touch response, ranging from clean combos to high-gain stacks. The unit includes a premium IR loader, allowing users to import up to three custom speaker impulse responses for personalized cabinet simulation.

The effects library is extensive, featuring 60 different effect types across seven simultaneous categories. These include overdrives, distortions, pitch/modulation effects, delays, and studio-quality reverbs. Additionally, there are 11 dedicated Pedal FX, a looper with up to 38 seconds of mono recording time, and specialized simulations for acoustic guitars and down-tuning. The audio path boasts exceptional fidelity with 24-bit AD/DA conversion, 32-bit floating-point processing, and a 48 kHz sampling rate.

Interface and Control
Unlike many digital modelers that rely on screens, the ME-90 utilizes a physical knob-per-function layout. This "what you see is what you get" design allows for rapid sound creation similar to arranging individual pedals on a board. The unit features eight multi-function footswitches with colored LEDs for at-a-glance status identification. These switches can be customized to light in fixed colors for different modes.

The pedal offers two primary operating modes:

Manual Mode: Provides direct, pedalboard-style on/off control for each effect category within a patch.
Memory Mode: Allows users to toggle between complete patch setups instantly.
A newly redesigned expression pedal with an integrated toe switch offers smooth, real-time control over wah, volume, or assignable parameters. For connectivity, the unit includes a USB-C port for audio interface functionality and communication with BOSS Tone Studio software. An optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter enables wireless editing and audio streaming from mobile devices.
