Starting with classic B20 bronze, these cymbals come free of lathing and are shaped into flush, round designs for a truly experimental appearance, both finish- and profile-wise. The resulting effect of the Smack Stack is completely up to you: just tighten or loosen the cymbals’ wing nut to hear the difference. Keeping it loose creates a long-sustaining drone while a more fastened-down approach acts as a choke, virtually eliminating sustain and offering an enticing accentual palette. The latter option can even serve as a substitute snare tone!
