The Ibanez SR300EDX in Wine Red Frozen Matte (WZM) finish is a 4-string electric bass guitar from Ibanez's SR Standard series, designed for modern players seeking lightweight comfort, smooth playability, and versatile tone.  Introduced in 2025, this model features a sleek, double-cutaway body with a frosty, matte aesthetic that stands out visually while maintaining professional performance. 

• Body: Constructed from Nyatoh (2022–2025), known for its warm, resonant midrange and lightweight feel.  The body is chambered to reduce weight, making it ideal for long playing sessions.

• Neck: A fast and stable 5-piece maple/walnut neck with an SR4 profile, offering enhanced tonal clarity and attack.  The satin finish ensures smooth playability across the 34" (864mm) scale length.

• Fretboard: Made of Jatoba, featuring 24 medium frets and white dot inlays.  The 305mm (12") radius provides a balanced feel for both chording and soloing.

• Pickups & Electronics: Equipped with dual PowerSpan Dual Coil passive pickups (bridge and neck), paired with Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ and a 3-way Power Tap switch.  This system allows switching between humbucker, single-coil, and boosted single-coil tones for wide sonic flexibility.

• Bridge: Accu-cast B500 with 19mm string spacing, offering adjustable saddle positions (±1.5mm) for custom setup and improved sustain. 

• Hardware: Gold-plated hardware, including Ibanez die-cast tuners for reliable tuning stability.

Ideal for a wide range of genres—from rock and metal to funk and pop—the SR300EDX delivers punchy lows, articulate mids, and crisp highs. Its lightweight design (approx. 8.2 lbs) and ergonomic contours make it comfortable for stage and studio use. The Power Tap system is especially useful for bassists who need quick tonal shifts during live performances.
