The 2025 Ernie Ball Sterling AX50QM in Lava Burst is a high-performance electric guitar introduced at NAMM 2025, blending modern playability with classic aesthetics. It features a striking quilted maple top, a fully roasted maple neck and fretboard, and a double-locking tremolo system for exceptional tuning stability. 

The AX50QM is designed for players seeking expressive tones and rock-solid reliability. Its body is crafted from poplar with a quilted maple veneer top finished in a vivid Lava Burst color, complemented by a matching headstock.  The neck and fingerboard are made entirely of roasted maple, providing a smooth, fast feel and enhanced durability. 

Electronically, the guitar is equipped with two Alnico humbuckers controlled by a straightforward layout: a single volume knob and a 3-way toggle pickup selector.  This simplicity allows the natural tone of the pickups to shine, ranging from punchy rhythms to vibrant leads. Hardware highlights include an EBMM-designed double-locking tremolo bridge, diecast tuning machines, and 22 narrow frets on a 12-inch radius fingerboard.
