Yamaha’s groundbreaking TransAcoustic technology delivers onboard reverb, chorus, and delay effects. What sets TransAcoustic guitars apart from other instruments with onboard effects is that they don’t require any external amplification. You also get a built-in looper, enabling you to craft intricate, layered performances right from your instrument. Engage the looper and effects via the simple-to-use controls, and you’ll be able to deliver immersive, ambient performances — no amp or PA required. And when it’s time for the gig, you can access those same stellar tones plugged in, thanks to the guitar’s state-of-the-art TransAcoustic System76 electronics.
How it works
The key to the TransAcoustic is an integrated actuator, a small device hidden inside the guitar. The vibration of the instrument’s strings causes the actuator to vibrate; these vibrations are transmitted to the guitar body and the air around the guitar. The result is authentic reverb and chorus — without the need for any additional amplification or effects.
