Amanda Mendoza
Amanda comes to us with a background in marching percussion, jazz drumming, 4 years of NBA drumline, 2 years of theme park drumming, and 7 years of being a percussion educator. Her performance experience includes 3 years as a bass drummer with WGI world class drumline groups like ConneXus Percussion in 2020, as well as Cap City Percussion 2021 & 2022 in which the group was 1 of 15 groups that made World Class Finals. Her teaching ranges from high school marching bands to professional Drum Corps in DCI such as Jersey Surf and Colt Cadets. Her playing styles ranging from jazz to nu metal. In all of these experiences, Amanda has always been one of the only girl drummers / educators involved - if not the only one. Her goal as an educator is to help anyone especially female presenting people feel great, included, and powerful just like everyone else!
