The Yorkville Bassmaster BM400 is a legacy 400-watt, 1x15" bass combo amplifier known for its powerful output and robust build. It features a 15-inch low-frequency driver rated at 200 watts and a piezo tweeter rated at 30 watts, designed to deliver a balanced and percussive sound. The amplifier boasts a switchable limiter, a footswitchable 10-band graphic EQ with a master level control, and a "Contour" function that combines a bass boost with a mid-cut for enhanced punch. It includes balanced line outputs (post-EQ/pre-master) and two effects loops located on both the front and rear panels.

The BM400 is built with a rugged all-steel chassis and a percussion-tuned compact enclosure, making it durable for live performance. It has a minimum impedance of 4 ohms, and its burst power reaches 725 watts over a two-cycle period, providing high headroom to minimize distortion during dynamic playing. The amp features two parallel 1/4-inch master outputs, two balanced TRS line outputs (one front, one rear), and two external speaker output jacks (one front, one rear). It does not include a headphone jack.

The amplifier is handmade in Canada and is part of Yorkville's legacy product line, with the BM400 being a model from the Bassmaster series. It is often compared to other professional-grade bass amps and is noted for its transparency, loudness, and reliability.
