The TC Electronic Ditto X4 Looper is a dual-track loop pedal designed for guitarists and other musicians seeking a powerful yet intuitive tool for creating layered, multi-track performances. It features two independent loop tracks, each capable of storing up to five minutes of 24-bit audio, allowing for the creation of complex arrangements by layering guitar parts, vocals, percussion, or harmonies. The pedal offers two loop modes—Sync and Serial—providing flexibility in how the loops interact, such as seamlessly switching between verse and chorus sections or building intricate soundscapes.

The Ditto X4 includes seven onboard loop effects, such as reverse playback, half-speed playback, tape stop, and fade, which can be activated via a footswitch to shape and evolve loops in real time. A dedicated loop decay control knob allows users to define how much a loop fades with each regeneration, helping to maintain clarity in dense mixes. The pedal also supports MIDI sync for remote start/stop recording and precise timing alignment with backing tracks or tempo maps, and it features stereo I/O for enhanced routing flexibility.

Connectivity options include a USB port, enabling the transfer of loops and backing tracks to and from a computer, which is useful for learning songs, practicing, or cueing up tracks for live performances. The pedal is powered by a 9V DC power supply (included) and features a true bypass or buffered bypass switch for signal integrity. It is built with a durable metal housing, making it suitable for both studio and stage use.
