Designed for both stage and studio use, it features a Venetian cutaway for upper-fret access and comes equipped with Taylor’s Expression System 2 (ES2) electronics for reliable amplified tone.

Body and Tonewoods

The 2021 Taylor 214ce is available in multiple variants with different back and side materials, influencing its tonal character:

• Layered Walnut: Offers warm, balanced tone with strong midrange clarity, ideal for fingerstyle and studio work.

• Layered Koa (214ce-K): Delivers bright, articulate highs and a tight low end, with a visually striking sunburst or natural finish.

• Layered Rosewood (214ce DLX): Provides rich resonance, enhanced bass response, and a full, dynamic sound profile.

All models feature a solid Sitka spruce top, which ensures strong projection, dynamic range, and tonal stability over time.
