The Solid State Logic Alpha Channel is a compact 1U channel strip that includes a high-quality microphone preamp, filter, EQ, dynamics, and A/D conversion circuits, making it a versatile addition to any studio setup.It features a Variable Harmonic Drive (VHD) circuit that provides a warm analog tone to any signal, beneficial for digital-heavy studios. The Intelligent auto limiter helps avoid clipping while maximizing recording headroom.

The Alpha Channel's EQ is a mono version of the three-band EQ used in the stereo channels on the G-series console, and the preamp is a slightly modified version of the VHD mic pre from the E-series Signature Channel. This channel strip is designed to provide the perfect front end to a digital audio workstation (DAW), offering the classic combination of a mic preamp, filter, EQ, and dynamics.
