Mike Lull P4 Ash Bass

The Mike Lull P4 is a high-quality, American-made electric bass guitar modeled after the classic Fender Precision Bass (P-Bass) design.  The P4 Ash variant features a solid body crafted from chambered swamp ash, known for its balanced tone, lightweight nature, and striking grain patterns.

Built in Washington state since 1995, Mike Lull basses combine vintage aesthetics with modern craftsmanship. The P4 is a passive, 4-string bass with a 34" scale length, 21 frets, and a 1.5" nut width.  It typically comes equipped with Lindy Fralin split-coil pickups, delivering that iconic P-Bass "growl" with clarity and punch.  The neck is usually made of maple, with fingerboard options including birdseye maple, and features full electrostatic shielding for noise reduction.

Owners praise the P4 for its lightweight build (often under 8 lbs), excellent balance, and superior playability—making it a favorite among session musicians and gigging players.

» Classic P-Bass sound & vibe with top-notch feel & playability

» Built in Bellevue, Washington, USA - Just outside Seattle

» Every Mike Lull instrument gets a PLEK precision fret-leveling and full electrostatic shielding

Mike originally designed our P4 with the idea of replacing his personal 1964 P-Bass to play at gigs. After decades of refining the recipe, he felt he finally achieved his goal.
