The M-Audio Oxygen 49 (MKV) is a 49-key USB MIDI keyboard controller designed for music production and performance, featuring full-sized, velocity-sensitive keys and eight backlit performance pads for beat-making and triggering. It includes eight assignable knobs and nine assignable faders for real-time control of virtual instruments and effects, along with dedicated transport and track select buttons for seamless DAW integration. The controller supports auto-mapping for major digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Ableton Live, Pro Tools, Cubase, Logic, and Studio One, allowing immediate control over functions such as transport, faders, pan, record arm, solo, mute, and select.

It features advanced creative tools including a built-in arpeggiator with controls for type, octave, gate, and swing, which can operate in momentary or latch mode to generate rhythmic patterns based on the notes played. The Smart Chord and Smart Scale technologies assist users by enabling full chords with a single key press and restricting keybed notes to a chosen musical scale, respectively, making music creation accessible for beginners and efficient for professionals. The controller is USB bus-powered, eliminating the need for an external power supply, and is compatible with devices that have a USB port.
