Joyo has launched the R-01 Tauren Overdrive, the first in its R series of drive pedals.
There’s no mistaking it: This is a no-nonsense overdrive stompbox. According to Joyo, it’ll take you from “a clean boost, transparent overdrive through to warm overdrive/distortion”. Its three-knob system harkens back to the classic Tube Screamer layout: “Volume”, “Gain” and “Tone”.
The pedal also features an LED ambient lighting system that can be toggled to several settings; it could come in handy if you’re stomping around in the dark.
