The DigiTech HardWire Supernatural Ambient Verb is a multi-reverb effect pedal offering seven distinct reverb types, including Plate, Plate Mod, Shimmer, Supernova, Shine, Pherb (a hall reverb with phasing), and Spring. It is designed for creating rich ambient soundscapes and features high-definition audio with true bypass circuitry to maintain a pure tone when disengaged. The pedal boasts a rugged, durable construction suitable for live performances and touring. It includes stereo inputs and outputs, enhancing its capabilities for creating expansive, immersive soundscapes, particularly when used in a stereo rig. The intuitive control layout features a Mix knob for adjusting the dry-to-wet balance (allowing for a 100% wet mix), a Liveliness knob to shape the high-frequency response of the reverb, and a Decay knob to control the length of the reverb tail. The pedal can be powered by a 9V DC power supply or a 9V battery, though the battery drains quickly. The pedal is praised for its exceptional value, offering studio-quality Lexicon-inspired reverb algorithms at a fraction of the cost of high-end units like the Strymon Big Sky or Eventide. It is particularly noted for its high-quality Plate and Spring reverb modes, as well as its unique Shimmer, Supernova, and Shine effects, which create ethereal, ambient textures.
