The Electro-Harmonix Soul Food is a transparent overdrive pedal designed to emulate the legendary tone of the Klon Centaur, offering an affordable alternative to the highly sought-after and expensive original. It features a clean, dynamic overdrive with a focus on touch sensitivity and response, providing a wide range of tonal possibilities from a subtle clean boost to rich, harmonic overdrive. The pedal is built with a rugged Nano chassis and includes a 9.6VDC-200 power supply, with the option to run on a 9-volt battery. It offers selectable true bypass or buffered bypass modes, allowing for flexibility in signal chain management.
