Chase Bliss MOOD is a multi-effect pedal that combines a micro-looping channel with a suite of real-time spatial effects, designed to work together in a unique, interactive way. The micro-looping channel, developed by Drolo FX, features an always-listening looper that continuously records until activated, allowing for instant capture of brief audio moments. The wet channel, created by Old Blood Noise Endeavors, offers a range of ambient effects, including reverb that can shift into frequency-shifting and the ability to generate skipping doppelgängers in Slip mode. The two channels are interconnected, meaning the micro-looping channel can capture the effects from the wet channel, and loops can be sent back through the wet channel for further processing.

A key feature is the Clock knob, which controls the sample rate for both channels simultaneously, allowing for harmonized shifts in speed and pitch, such as instantly halving the speed of a loop and its accompanying reverb. This knob can produce extreme settings with intentional noise and artifacts, which are considered part of the pedal's character. The original MOOD is no longer available for purchase, but it has been succeeded by the MOOD MKII, which features significant upgrades including stereo output, overdubbing, freezing, syncing, filtering, and improved sound quality, along with a Classic Mode for users who prefer the original's characteristics.

The MOOD MKII expands on the original's capabilities, offering more intuitive control and deeper integration with external devices through MIDI, CV, and expression pedal support. It allows users to turn the wet channel into a frozen ambient pad or the micro-looper into a delay or pseudo-live effect, enhancing its versatility. Despite its complexity, the pedal is praised for its ability to create unique textures and atmospheric soundscapes, though it requires time and exploration to master. It is often described as a "musical chemistry set" where audio can be endlessly shaped and combined.
