The Boss Katana-100 MkII is a 100-watt guitar combo amplifier featuring a 12-inch speaker and solid-state electronics, designed for both stage and home use. It offers five amp characters—Acoustic, Clean, Crunch, Lead, and Brown—with newly voiced variations for each, doubling the tonal options available compared to earlier models. The amp includes five independent effects sections (Booster, Modulation, FX, Delay, and Reverb), each with three selectable variations, allowing up to 15 different effects to be loaded onboard and three used simultaneously.

The Katana-100 MkII supports real-time tone shaping with a 3-band EQ, a Power Control feature that enables cranked-amp feel at lower volumes, and a Standby function for switching instruments or taking breaks. It features a USB port for connectivity with BOSS Tone Studio software, which provides access to over 60 customizable effects and allows users to organize setups for gigs, recordings, and practice. The amp also includes a line output, headphone jack, and a stereo expansion feature that allows two amps to be linked with a single cable for a wider sound field.

The amplifier is available in a black finish and measures 17.5 inches in height, 20.9 inches in width, and 9.8 inches in depth, weighing 32.6 pounds. It includes a power cord and owner’s manual in the package, and optional foot controllers like the GA-FC can be used for hands-free operation.
