The Boss CH-1 Super Chorus is a widely recognized chorus pedal known for its classic, clean, and shimmering chorus tones, making it a popular choice for both guitarists and keyboardists. It is considered one of the best-selling chorus pedals on the market. The pedal features four primary controls—Effect Level, EQ, Rate, and Depth—allowing for precise shaping of the chorus sound, from subtle thickening to intense, psychedelic swirls. It offers stereo output jacks, enabling users to connect to two amplifiers for a wide, enveloping chorus effect, or blend the signals into a mono tone. The CH-1 is built with a rugged, metal housing designed for durability, often described as being "built like a tank". It operates on a 9V DC power supply, either via a 9V battery (included or sold separately) or an AC adapter (sold separately). The pedal has been in production since 1989.
