The Ampeg SVT-7 PRO is a rackmountable 1000-watt bass amplifier head designed for professional use, offering a powerful combination of a tube preamp and a Class-D power section. It delivers 1000 watts at 4 ohms and 600 watts at 8 ohms, providing ample headroom for driving a wide range of speaker cabinets, from compact single 15-inch enclosures to large Heritage SVT-810E systems. The amp features a 5-position midrange control, ultra-low and ultra-high frequency boost switches, and a variable onboard compressor for shaping tone and dynamics. It includes a tube preamp with a premium JJ 12AX7 tube, a transformer-balanced line out, a tube DI output, an FX loop, and a front-panel headphone jack for silent practice. The SVT-7 PRO weighs 15.5 lbs (7 kg), making it a lightweight yet high-output option in the SVT series.
