From its radical Iceman body to its eye-grabbing blacked-out aesthetics, the Ibanez Iron Label Iceman ICTB721 was crafted for pure unadulterated metal. This hard-hitting axe is built around an okoume body, yielding a bright, solid sound with loads of sustain. And that's before you even plug it in! Paired with a suitable high-gain amplifier, the ICTB721 churns out face-melting metallic textures, courtesy of a set of DiMarzio D Activator-7 humbuckers. Meanwhile, its 5-piece Wizard II-7 neck and 24-fret ebony fingerboard provide unfettered access to your most technically demanding riffs. You also get rock-solid, stage-ready hardware, such as a Mono-rail bridge and Gotoh MG-T locking tuning machine heads. If your current solidbody electric guitar isn't metal enough for you, Ibanez has a cool solution: the Iron Label Iceman ICTB721.

One of Ibanez's fastest necks to date, the 5-piece maple/walnut Wizard II-7 neck on the ICTB721 is an absolute pleasure to play. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you pull off lightning-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons with ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for fretting chords. Capping the neck is a 24-fret ebony fingerboard that's loaded with jumbo frets that are perfect for big note bends. From the first time you put your hands on the ICTB721's Wizard II-7 neck, you'll know you've got a guitar that was built with performance in mind.

Ibanez loaded the Iron Label Iceman ICTB721 with a pair of DiMarzio D Activator-7 humbucking pickups. These high-octane pickups deliver a full and enriched harmonic quality that's great for rhythm and solo playing alike. DiMarzio designed their D Activator pickups to eliminate the sterile edginess that plagues many active pickups. The bottom line is that they deliver all the advantages of active pickups without the drawbacks. Plus, these pickups don't require batteries! What's more, their massive headroom permits you to pick as aggressively as you want without flattening your signal. The guitarists here at Mom's have found these pickups to have exceptionally balanced volume between the neck and bridge — you can switch between the two positions with zero drops in volume.

The ICTB721 features Ibanez's Mono-rail bridge, which uses a single bridge piece for each individual string. This provides tighter component coupling and improves the transfer of string vibrations to the tonewood for a purer, more resonant sound. Additionally, it prevents the vibration of strings from impacting each other, which can increase articulation.
