The 2021 Fender Custom Shop 70th Anniversary Broadcaster is a limited-edition guitar released to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the original Broadcaster, which was first introduced in October 1950. This model is available in multiple finishes and relicing styles, including Butterscotch Blonde, Nocaster Blonde, and Aged Nocaster Blonde, with variations in aging such as Heavy Relic, Journeyman Relic, and Relic. The guitar features a resonant ash body with a nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a rift-sawn maple neck with a 1950 Broadcaster "U" profile, and a compound radius fingerboard (7.25" to 9.5") for enhanced playability. It is equipped with hand-wound '50-'51 Blackguard pickups, which deliver a rich, vintage tone.

The guitar is available with different control configurations. The standard version is wired for standard Telecaster operation, but an optional original Broadcaster wiring kit is included in the case to replicate the unique "blend" circuit used in the original Broadcasters. Some versions feature a 3-way blade switch with a blend pot, while others have a simpler volume and tone setup. The guitar comes with a variety of premium features, including a period-correct black phenolic pickguard, chrome hardware, vintage-style tuners, and a custom Fender Custom Shop G&G Tweed Hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity (COA) and case candy.
