Manufacturer's Details:
In 1984, Fender USA introduced the American Standard Stratocaster, featuring an alder body, maple neck with a 9.5" radius, 1 11/16" nut, 22 frets, SSS single-coil pickups, a 5-way switch, and a new 2-point Freeflyte tremolo system, moving away from the CBS era with higher standards, often using leftover parts and transitioning from a 3-bolt to 4-bolt neck plate, known for solid construction despite some bridge criticisms.
