Very good condition. Plays AMAZING! Fresh setup, strings and electronics checkup. Hardly any fretwear. It does show it's age in spots. See all pics. Does have an assortment of dings and scratches. Also has some minor finish cracks near input jack. Appears to be all original. One owner and includes original case.

The Ibanez Roadstar II RB999, often referred to as the "Bean Bass," is a solid-body electric bass guitar introduced by Ibanez in the mid-1980s. It was part of the Roadstar II Bass series and was produced in Japan by FujiGen. The RB999 features a double-cutaway alder body with a crystal cut and arched top, bolted to a maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard with white dot position markers, side dots, and a matching headstock. It includes Super active pickups, an Accu-cast B II bridge with 19mm string spacing, Ibanez Smooth Tuner BII tuning machines, and Ibanez "Dead End" strap buttons.

The RB999 was available in various finishes, including black, polar white, and blue, and was known for its unique "bean" style body, which made it a comfortable and distinctive instrument. Some models, like the 1985 and 1986 versions, were noted for their excellent playability and sound quality. The RB999 was also mentioned in discussions about Ibanez basses from the 1979-1987 period, where it was compared to other models like the RB650 and RB888.

The RB999 was part of a series that included other models such as the RB888, which was also referred to as the "Bean Bass" and was introduced in 1984. The RB999 was produced until at least 1986.
