1965 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean 6119 (Pre-Owned) - Natural w/ Hard Case

1965 Gretsch Chet Atkins Tennessean. Very Good condition for it's age. Some wear throughout, the worst of which is on the binding plate for the neck joint (see pics). Some minor belt-wear and some wear on the back edges on both sides. Frets in good shape for it's age. Guitar plays beautifully and sounds bridge and tuning machines have been replaced and are not original.

• Construction: The thin-body design was intended to combat feedback while offering a warm tone and light response.
• Aesthetics: The guitar features single-ply white binding on the top edge.
• Tone: The Hi-Lo 'Tron pickups combined with the body design deliver a crisp, bright, and clear sound, well-suited for musical styles like rockabilly and country.
• Hardware: Unlike the more expensive models in the Chet Atkins range (like the 6120 or 6122 Country Gentleman), the Tennessean model did not include a built-in mute system.
• Origin: The 1965 models were manufactured at the original Gretsch factory in Brooklyn, USA.
